A School Social Worker’s Story

Aside from being able to access news, information, and resources related to a variety of social issues, today I just discovered that another good reason to check out SocialWorkHelper.com can be found in its ever-changing “videos of the week”.

The videos of the week can be found in the footer section of the SWH website.

This week’s video was a teaser video about School Social Worker Chris Dougherty.  I did a little digging and found a longer video, which I’m sharing here.

For people who are interested in School Social Work, this is but one example for you to think about.

I'm a Social Justice Educator and Aspiring Humanitarian who is interested in conflict resolution, improving intergroup relations, and building more equitable and inclusive communities. "Notes from an Aspiring Humanitarian" is my blog, where I write about issues of diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice. By exploring social identities through written word, film & video, and other forms of media, I hope to continue to expand and enrich conversations about social issues that face our society, and to find ways to take social action while encouraging others to do so as well in their own ways.
