AutoFill: A Gender Study

AutoFill: A Gender Study. Video by Emma Hall.

Video Description:

“The goal of “autofill: a gender study” is to shed light on an example of an everyday, often unnoticed, microaggression that operates under a larger societal system of oppression and misogyny, and to start meaningful discussions about how we can work together to create a more just society.

Disclaimer:
I would like to recognize and acknowledge that although this video speaks only of men and women, gender is not a binary. I would also like to note that the term “rape victim” is not how all survivors of sexual assault choose to identify, and that any person, regardless of gender, sexual identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, or economic background, can be a victim of or affected by sexual assault.”

I'm a Social Justice Educator and Aspiring Humanitarian who is interested in conflict resolution, improving intergroup relations, and building more equitable and inclusive communities. "Notes from an Aspiring Humanitarian" is my blog, where I write about issues of diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice. By exploring social identities through written word, film & video, and other forms of media, I hope to continue to expand and enrich conversations about social issues that face our society, and to find ways to take social action while encouraging others to do so as well in their own ways.
