Zero to Hero: WordPress Series Offers Tips for Bloggers

I’ve been getting a few requests to pass along resources that I find helpful for blogging development, so I’m sharing this news with you today.

Whether you’re thinking about starting a blog, are just starting out, or have been working at it for quite some time, everyone needs a little help and inspiration at one time or another.

Last month, the folks over at The Daily Post, a blog that offers interviews, tips, writing prompts, and other information to help bloggers develop themselves and their sites, launched a series designed to help bloggers build a good foundation for their platform. I waited until the series was completed so that I could send you to find it in its entirety.

Zero to Hero: 30 Days to a Better Blog

Although many of the posts can directly relate to individuals who use the WordPress platform, I would also say that many of the themes present in the series can be translatable to bloggers who use other platforms (i.e. tumblr, blogger, etc).

The posts themselves are fairly brief, and build on one another.

Assignments that can be found in the series span from developing a post articulating who you are, and why you’re writing, to personalizing your blog’s theme, interacting with other bloggers, and more. Any of the prompts can be tailored to fit whatever your passions and interests are.

A good resource for self-identified beginners,  novices, and “experts”. Check it out for yourself.

I'm a Social Justice Educator and Aspiring Humanitarian who is interested in conflict resolution, improving intergroup relations, and building more equitable and inclusive communities. "Notes from an Aspiring Humanitarian" is my blog, where I write about issues of diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice. By exploring social identities through written word, film & video, and other forms of media, I hope to continue to expand and enrich conversations about social issues that face our society, and to find ways to take social action while encouraging others to do so as well in their own ways.
